Director of Finance & Human Resources
We are a Mortgage Broker and Real Estate Company (start up).
Summary of Position
The Director of Finance, working with and reporting to the COO, will oversee the operations of the organizations in connection with all financial matters that include operating statements, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, balance sheets, general ledger, contracts, Human Resources, and overall coordination, planning and reporting of the financial activities of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll (W-2 & 1099s)
Accounts Payable
Accounts receivable
Reconciliations
Job Cost Analysis
Assist with P&Ls, Balance Sheets and a variety of other financial reports
Assist with year-end close and external audit
Managing and reconciling credit card payments, balances, budgets and receipts.
Prepare and file quarterly and annual forms such as Sales Tax
File and keep corporate entities up to date
Assist with Workers Compensation audit, state mandated reports, courses, audits etc.
Work with accounting staff in jobs and cross-training.
Aid in deployment of technology, systems and tools to enhance organizational efficiency and productivity in the finance department
Keeps financial metrics up to date
Assist and collaborates with management team on other financial responsibilities as needed
Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Maintain confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Manage payroll process and provide analysis of work-force distribution and compensation.
Maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, payroll, bank reconciliations and investment accounts.
Execute Intuit/Online QuickBooks programs. Serves as part of the leadership team.
Manage employee onboarding, and human resource needs.
Maintain financial records for governmental grants and process monthly reimbursement reports.
Assist CEO, COO and Managers with the preparation of budgets
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Online QuickBooks Certification
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of previous accounting and Human Resources experience
Real Estate and mortgage transactions
Salary: $40,000 (Part Time Position and must come to our office)
