The Director of Experiential Engagement is responsible for establishing and expanding constituent engagement through experiences and events, with a focus on enhancing constituent connection with Seton Hall and expanding philanthropy. The Director will partner with a wide array of campus departments to create alumni engagement and fundraising opportunities. The Director will serve as a liaison to Seton Hall's various schools and colleges as it pertains to alumni engagement & philanthropy. Managing the Assistant Director of Alumni & Family Engagement and a Graduate Assistant, this individual will direct existing events such as Many Are One, school/college events, alumni club experiences, Golden Pirates, Alumni reunion, Christmas Breakfast, basketball-related events, Hall Homecoming and Family Weekend, amongst others, and establish new experiences. The Director will inspire alumni to become connected, engaged and invested in the progress of Seton Hall University.The person will develop new ways to creatively engage alumni through events and campus connections. The Director will incorporate philanthropy as a component of each event, to showcase campus priorities and student impact and support the Seton Hall campaign primary fundraising initiatives.
The Director will be involved in all aspects of Alumni Engagement, including communication, digital, experiential, leadership giving and volunteer engagement by working collaboratively in a fully integrated engagement team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Manage all Alumni Engagement & Philanthropy events and experiences, including planning, budgeting, administering, and reviewing. Oversee all event logistics and management. Share events with key constituents within the division and at Seton Hall and encourage attendance from members of University Advancement. Ensure that alumni engagement and University messages are disseminated in the most efficient and effective ways throughout each event by working closely with the Director of Alumni Communication & Digital Engagement. Promote a philanthropic message at each event, with a goal to capture alumni donors by connecting them with their passion. Highlight fundraising priorities as a component of each event, whether to showcase impact or support the current Seton Hall campaign. (60%)
2) Create a comprehensive event calendar, provide several experiences to engage thousands of constituents. Identify those individuals capable of making leadership annual gifts, and work closely with the two donor experience officers to identify those individuals ready to join our giving societies. Administer the relationships between University Advancement and several key campus departments including schools, colleges, athletics, the career center, admissions, student services, campus ministry, amongst others. Expand existing partnerships with campus partners. Design, implement and manage alumni programming to foster greater school-based alumni engagement and investment. (20%)
3) Work collaboratively with University Advancement and campus partners, and as an integrated member of the Alumni Engagement & Philanthropy team. Participate in all aspects of alumni engagement, including philanthropy, communication, digital, experiential, leadership giving and volunteerism. Build mutually beneficial relationships that inspire loyalty and financial support, strengthen the institution's reputation, and involve alumni in meaningful activities to advance the institution's mission. Manage the Associate Director of Alumni & Family Engagement.

Required Qualifications:

BA plus at least 3 years experience, with preference for event planning, project management
