Director of Environmental Services and Housekeeping/Laundry

Waterbury Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation has an opportunity for an Experienced Director ofEnvironmental Services and Housekeeping/Laundry.

Experience working in a skilled nursing facility required.

Primary Functions (including but not limited to):

• Supervise all personnel in the Environmental Services Department along with Housekeeping and Laundry Services.
• Responsible for all maintenance, housekeeping and laundry department operations & personnel.
• Regular inspections of the facility for safety, upkeep, appearance & equipment performance.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness & Safety throughout Facility grounds.
• Plan/Coordinate work schedules and assign staff to established work areas & duties.
• Schedule & ensure completion of all maintenance & repairs.
• Maintains records of all repairs , preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections
• Assign equipment to staff: monitor daily equipment use, cleaning & maintenance.
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.
• Follow Facility Guidelines and Departmental Policies/Procedures.
• Infection Control Policies/Procedures.
• Safety/Fire/Disaster/OSHA/Mutual Aid Planning.
• Quality Assurance Practices.
• CT DOH Standards.
• Strong stress management skills are required
• Provide individual guidance & motivation to employees.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.

Experience:

Previous management experience in a nursing facility environment.

Familiarity with general housekeeping operations and cleaning solutions in a facility environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
