POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Employee Experience will report to the Chief Human Resources Officer and be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing programs and initiatives that enhance entire Employee Experience at our company - attraction, selection, onboarding, engagement, and development. This role is critical role to creating a positive and engaging work environment that promotes employee satisfaction, belonging/inclusion, productivity, and retention.

The Director of Employee Experience will be responsible for assessing and improving the employee life cycle to strength our employee value proposition. This role is critical to creating a positive and engaging work environment that promotes talent attraction, employee satisfaction, belonging/inclusion, productivity, and retention.  The immediate priority is in leading a consolidated talent acquisition strategy to fill open positions and strengthening our employer value proposition.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Employee Experience strategy (full employee life cycle) that aligns with the company's mission, vision, values, and business objectives.
  • Identify and promote RealTruck's Employer Value Proposition with internal and external talent.
  • Design and implement talent attraction and recruiting strategies including employer brand, talent sourcing strategies, managing external partnerships, and forecasting talent needs to meet business objectives. 
  • Lead the talent acquisition team of three direct reports.
  • Accountable for managing the talent acquisition budget to minimize vendor/agency spend and maximize in-house recruiting effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement initiatives that enhance the Employee Experience, such as attraction, onboarding, career development, recognition, and diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.
  • Develop and manage employee communications for the annual engagement survey, analyze results, and develop action plans to improve engagement levels.
  • Analyze employee data and use it to inform decision-making and program design.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to identify and address Employee Experience issues and concerns.
  • Develop and manage budgets for Employee Experience programs and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and recommend changes and improvements to existing programs.
  • Develop and lead HR communications strategy to represent and shape team culture, communicate strategic priorities, and provide clear messaging for a broad audience.
  • Identify and implement a breadth of methods for communicating with employees through a variety of channels.
  • Support the development and implement HR policies and procedures that support our desired culture and Employer Value Proposition.
  • Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and industry standards; build partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant business experience in Employee Experiences, human resources, marketing, communications, or related field required.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful Employee Experience programs and initiatives.
  • Experience managing budgets and resources.
  • Prior experience leading a team or staff strongly preferred. This position has 3 direct reports.
  • Prior experience in improving company EVP through social media (Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.) required.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will plan, organize, evaluate, and direct the employees within the department function. This position has 3 direct reports.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Physical Activities

  • This position is subject to the following physical activities: the use of hands, wrists, or fingers in repetitive motions.

Visual Acuity

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working Conditions

  • This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
