Job description

The Director assumes leadership responsibility for the divisions clinical and administrative departments assigned. The director is responsible for the development of patient care programs, policies, and procedures. The director will participate with administration, management, medical staff, clinical leaders and frontline employees in the decision making structures and processes. The director will implement an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess, and improve the reliability and quality of care delivered to patients. The director is responsible for budgeting and managing supplies, equipment, and personnel in the division. The director will ensure that division staff has sufficient information to comply with corporate compliance program.

Northwest Health - Porter has three of the largest emergency departments in the region, offering Emergency Services 24/7. As an accredited Chest Pain Center and a Primary Stroke Center, nurses in this unit can expect to work closely with first responders and heart and vascular specialists to deliver fast, efficient care.

Education:

  • BSN Required
  • Master’s Degree preferred or working towards completion within three years of hire.

Certifications/Experience:

  • Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana
  • BLS within 30 days
  • ALS within 6 months
  • Previous Hospital Leadership experience
  • Knowledge of business application
  • 5-7 years nursing experience with demonstrated progressive responsibility in management preferred
