Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of The Director of Ecommerce Operations & Merchandising is the daily management of Childrensplace.com web and mobile ecommerce activities. The Director of Ecommerce Operations & Merchandising has a passion for product paired with a data driven mindset to achieve ecommerce revenue, margin, conversion, customer satisfaction, and other key performance indicators. This role requires successfully managing and navigating cross-functional efforts across merchandising, technology, planning, creative, product, marketing and finance. The Director of Ecommerce Operations & Merchandising reports to the Vice President of Marketing Technology & Ecommerce.

Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage and develop a high performing digital Merchandising & operations team for The Children’s Place web and mobile ecommerce websites
  • Lead strategy and execution of site content, navigation, search and calendar development in partnership with Marketing, Merchandising, Planning and Design to support company goals and drive multichannel profitability
  • Manage the successful launch of products, from setup through approvals, across all storefronts
  • Oversee merchandising of product throughout the site in categories and search to achieve demand targets and improve the customer experience
  • Drive development and monitor site analytics to measure value of product, content and merchandising decisions
  • Identify site wide navigation and product page enhancements, in partnership with Product Management, to drive conversion, site features and experiences
  • Manage execution of the ecommerce roadmap in partnership with Product Management and IT, creating agile workflows and processes to drive rapid and efficient development and site improvement
  • Drive achievement of Ecommerce business objectives, KPI targets and customer satisfaction through continuous a/b testing
  • Maintain expertise of the e-commerce landscape and online competitors, identifying category trends and online growth opportunities
Key Qualifications:
  • 8+ years with a top tier or omni-channel e-commerce retailer, with extensive online merchandising experience
  • 4+ years managing high performing teams with heavy emphasis on online merchandising and web operations that drive profitable growth and process efficiencies
  • Ability to identify website process optimization opportunities and motivate others to execute
  • Demonstrated success with site merchandising and site features/functionality that enhances product assortment and presentation
  • Thrives managing multiple projects at one time to make aggressive deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to communicate and execute at all levels, strategic and tactical
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-pace environment with a high degree of accountability.
  • Expertise in e-commerce merchandising and analytic tools
