SUMMARY
Family Service League is seeking a Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB). Working closely with Human Resources, the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) develops and oversees the Agency’s diversity, equity, INCLUSION AND BELONGING plan and initiatives and consults on strategies to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workplace. This position develops and promotes training programs and recommends policies and procedures to ensure the fair and equitable treatment of staff, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- The DEIB will research, develop, recommend, and execute creative strategies to foster the Agency’s diversity goals and objectives.
- Serve as Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
- Develop, acquire, implement and conduct training initiatives to promote cultural humility and increase cultural competence throughout all levels of the Agency.
- The DEIB will work with management to determine hiring focuses, based on community and client demographics.
- Develop and recommend recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds, including networking with external organizations and agencies.
- Review current policies and procedures, assessing their efficacy in supporting the Agency’s diversity goals. Recommend updates/improvements as appropriate, ensuring legal compliance.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the company’s population in accordance with diversity standards and goals.
- The DEIB will assist in developing a mentorship program that supports the promotion and career path of a diverse workforce.
- Work with Human Resources, Development and Program Management in developing comprehensive responses for DEIB related questions in grants, RFPs and accreditation materials.
- Act as company liaison with government agencies concerning diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge OF DIVERSITY-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
At least 5 years of related experience required, with at least 3 years specializing in diversity, equity and inclusion issues and corporate culture.
Demonstrated understanding of federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws and regulations is required.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including proven dispute resolution skills required.
Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills required.
Strong attention to detail and organization skills required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
