Job Description
This position will lead the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Program initiatives in collaboration with the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) Officer, including: (1) Design and manage the day-to-day implementation of FHLBank’s DEIB Program; (2) Develop and maintain policies and procedures to achieve DEIB; and (3) Partner with FHLBank business departments to apply applicable statutes and regulations to all business activities. Additionally, this position interacts positively with colleagues across FHLBank business departments and our regulator, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA); is responsible for FHLBank’s handling accurate reporting to the FHFA OMWI and participation in FHFA OMWI examinations and remediations, including overseeing DEIB data management, data reporting, and internal control processes; creates and regularly assesses the DEIB Strategic Plan; advises and provides current DEIB expertise across the organization; and liaises outreach efforts across the organization to attract and retain qualified diverse talent and to identify and advocate for the utilization of diverse businesses and broker dealers.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree is required.
Five to eight years of similar or related experience.
Demonstrated understanding of DEIB and ability to strategically effect DEIB initiatives.
Previous compliance experience preferred.
Strong analytical skills are required.
Ability to perform detailed work in a timely manner with accuracy and thoroughness, in an environment with multiple distractions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently set priorities and carry out multiple and diverse assignments within deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Excellent computer skills including database management and record keeping including MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Good organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
The ability to use general office equipment.
Ability to work overtime if needed.
Must be able to work and travel independently.
