Job description

Whitefish Outfitters and Tours is a small, locally owned/managed tour company based in Whitefish, Montana. We pride ourselves in providing world-class experiences for our guests while also providing lucrative jobs for our guides and employees. We are young and we are growing rapidly. No two days are ever the same.

This position requires bike wrenching experience and/or bike touring experience.

In our peak season of May-September, the management team works hard to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. This does not mean we do not value time off, it does mean that your 8-hour day can easily turn into a 10-hour day if that’s what is needed.

- April, you’ll be building bikes, and tuning up our fleet of rental bikes.

- You’ll also be advertising, interviewing, and hiring for bike guides and bike shuttles.

- We’ll also be developing new tours, routes, and experiences.

- May is go time. All the bikes are built and tuned up. We’ll be booking tours and setting schedules. Depending on weather, we’ll start hiker/ biker season in the park. This means you’ll be running shuttles and guiding tours on Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park. This is a physical job. Lifting heavy e-bikes on and off our huck wagon demands a strong back and attitude.

Once GTTS Road opens, then it’s time for gravel riding, mountain biking, and e-bike tours around town and on Lake Koocanusa. During this time, we need to keep the fleet of bikes maintained and in good working order.

End of summer, give the bikes one last tune before they go into hibernation for the winter!
