About The Position

We are seeking a proven, high-performing Director of Customer Training and Education who is passionate about helping customers maximize the value of their Contrast subscription. In this critical role, you will work with the Customer Success Managers and Professional Services teams to design and deliver training materials for Application Security personnel, Developers, and DevOps teams and train-the-trainer programs.  You will also have the responsibility to help upskill the internal Customer Success team with the ever-changing development technologies in our industry.  The Training program will help to accelerate product adoption and license usage, minimize customer churn, and influence expansion by driving maximum value and maintaining high customer satisfaction.  You must have excellent communication skills and proven technology training experience.
Responsibilities
    • Facilitate world-class customer-facing learning programs
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, visual, hands-on learning
    • Assist in developing & maintaining technical training content, lab exercises, presentations, and accompanying certification materials
    • Help shape the ongoing strategy and mission of the training and Contrast customer certification program
    • Maintain and incorporate up-to-date product knowledge with the Contrast Security product roadmap and release updates into the training materials
    • Collaborate with members from various departments within the Company to ensure that training content is accurate, relevant, and effective for audience and business needs
    • Train the Customer Success team and develop collateral for further sharing with customers
    • Connect learning to key business initiatives and priorities
    • Seek continuous improvement; willing to try new ideas to provide more effective training
    • Collect and analyze data to evaluate learning program effectiveness
    • Influence future lifetime value through higher product adoption, customer satisfaction, and value delivered
    • Project Management: Manage projects to a successful outcome and ensure appropriate communications with all relevant stakeholders take place
    • Prioritization: juggling multiple projects and activities simultaneously with attention to detail
    • Develop Expertise, Collaborate, and Improve Shared Knowledge: Become an expert on Contrast Products - leveraging product knowledge and people skills to become customers' trusted advisor
    • Synthesize learnings and contribute to Contrast best practices
Qualifications
    • Minimum 8+ years in the technology industry with 5+ years of solid experience building and delivering technical training
    • Technical background in application security, software development, or DevOps is a plus
    • Excellent oral presentation skills, interpersonal communication, and writing skills
    • A strong "stage presence" and ability to manage a classroom of adult learners
    • Experience designing and developing instructor-led content with technical subject matter content
    • Competently uses appropriate classroom management and audience-engagement methods and techniques
    • Ability to take complex topics and make them simple and digestible
    • Experience with creating web-based training programs
    • Enjoys working with a dynamic team to produce cutting-edge, high-quality training solutions
    • Self-sufficient, self-starter with proven success taking ownership of training projects
    • Demonstrates ability to be flexible, transparent, and team-oriented in a fast-growing environment
    • Strong empathy for customers AND passion for revenue and growth
    • Technical Degree (i.e., Computer Science) or relevant work experience required
    • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (home office must be driving distance from major airport)

What We Offer

Salary and Other Compensation
This position's standard base pay range is $140,000 - $200,000 annually. This position is also eligible for a VCP and equity package subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.  When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider several factors: geography, skill set, experience, job scope, and current market data.
