Director Of Credit Administration

At Gulf Coast Bank, we are looking for a Director of the Credit Administration department to join our team. The Director of Credit Administration, VP will be responsible for all aspects of our bank’s credit operations, including the overall performance and development of managers and team members. In addition, you will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve operational and credit-related process efficiencies.

What you will do:

Team Management

• Managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient loan processing, timely communication, and overall customer experience is a priority.
• Provide performance feedback, coaching, and counseling to staff and managers as needed to improve performance and ensure all team members understand lending rules and regulations.
• Provide guidance, input, and support on credit operations and loan servicing tasks.
• Assist in solving complex and unique scenarios as needed throughout the credit lifecycle.

Process, Procedure & Workflow Management

• Utilize a combination of observation, production result monitoring, data analysis, and gathering critical stakeholder feedback to identify potential opportunities for process and department efficiency improvement.
• Recommend procedure modifications based on findings and ensure effectiveness for recommended alternative processes to reduce turnaround times and improve efficiencies and overall customer experience.
• Proactively address potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate risk.

Strategic Planning & Initiatives

• Implement initiatives for the loan operations department, which may include workflow modification and require change management skills.
• Provide regular updates to the Executive Team on production capabilities, staffing levels, and overall department performance.
• Participate in the internal and external audit review process, evaluate audit findings, and provide responses and recommendations as needed.

You have:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in lending, underwriting, and managing loan operations processes and people.
• An understanding of Credit risk management, credit lifecycle, loan structuring, analysis, and processing.
• Advanced financial analysis skills and expertise in commercial loan structuring and creative loan solutions
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, lead change, build relationships, and influence stakeholders (internal and external)
• Skill in analyzing current business processes from different dimensions and identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.
• Knowledge of the SBA is a plus.

• Base Salary Range: $54,000-$94,000 plus bonus
