Job Summary:
The Director of Clinical Quality Services is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the Clinical Quality programs and initiatives within the organization. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective healthcare services to patients while driving continuous improvement in clinical processes, standards, and outcomes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for Clinical Quality Services, aligned with the organization's mission, values, and goals.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and goals for Clinical Quality improvement.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to develop and execute quality improvement initiatives.
- Design, implement, and monitor Clinical Quality programs, policies, and procedures that comply with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and accreditation requirements.
- Establish and maintain a system for tracking, reporting, and analyzing Clinical Quality metrics and trends.
- Identify areas for improvement in clinical processes, patient care, and safety through data analysis and regular assessments.
- Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement by engaging clinical staff and leaders in quality-related projects and initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to address performance gaps and ensure consistent adherence to evidence-based clinical practices.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of quality improvement efforts.
- Engage in regular communication with executive leadership to provide updates on Clinical Quality performance, initiatives, and outcomes.
- Represent the organization in external forums related to Clinical Quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant healthcare regulations, guidelines, and industry standards.· Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys related to Clinical Quality and patient safety.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate quality staff, ensuring their ongoing professional growth and development.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
Education and Experience:
- Advanced degree in healthcare administration, nursing, medicine or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare quality management, with 6 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Professional certifications in quality management (e.g., CPHQ) and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles are preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $195,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year
