Harnham is exclusively partnered with one of the top construction companies in the US. They are a storied leader in their domain and are looking for an impact-driven leader to head up a brand new team. You'll partner with business stakeholders and executives and lead large-scope projects. This person will sit under and work hand in hand with their CTO.
THE ROLE
- You will report directly into the CTO and work closely on technical and strategic direction
- You will oversee implementation and design of ML and statistical code and build out to production with access to petabytes of data
- Work across the commercial side of the business
- Partner extensively with internal business leaders
- Scale out and manage a brand new DS team
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Head of Data Science will likely have the following skills and experience:
- Experience leading large-scale projects which directly impact business direction across actuary, risk and finance
- Background building statistical applications in financial services and/or insurance
- Fluent in communicating with nontechnical stakeholders across business departments and in the C-suite
- Prior experience leading business-critical projects aimed at mitigating business risk
- Large-scale team management experience required
- MS in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Computer Science
- Machine Learning expertise required
THE BENEFITS
A competitive base salary of $220,000-250,000 + bonus
