Aposition has opened up in Honeywell Building Technologies for an ambitious DemandPlanning Professional. You will report to the SIOP Leader withthe opportunity to develop and demonstrate your planning and leadership skillsand play an instrumental role in the success of the company.

As the Director of Materials Management, you will be responsiblefor developing, coordinating, and aligning volume & revenue forecasts forassigned businesses and or channels. You will ensure that regional salesforecasts are visible, planned and supported through the supply chain whiledelivering customer satisfaction and improving inventory and working capitalyear overyear.
You will have the responsibility for leading a team of demand planners.You will coach and develop your team to continuously improve their skill setsand prepare them for future progression within Honeywell.

You will partner with the HBT & CORP COE and SME teams to drivestandard processes and ensure adherence to the Honeywell Global Design Modelfor Demand Planning and ensure the full utilization of the KinaxisRapidResponse demand planning tool within your business. You will design andexecute the business strategy to mature your SIOP process and comply withCorporate Maturity audits.

This position willinterface with sales, marketing  andfinance organizations, utilizing statistics, sales projects, marketintelligence to develop a rolling 18 month SKU level demand plan. You will workwith finance to enable comparison and gap analyses between the demand forecastsand business financial goals. This position is the linkage between salesforecasting, marketing programs and manufacturing, bringing closer alignment tothe Sales Inventory & Operations Planning Process. The successful candidatemust be able to apply lean sig sigma techniques to continuously improveprocesses and metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set the vision and direction for Demand Planning within HBT
  • Partner with the HBT and CORP COE team to formulate and execute strategies that align with Honeywell GDM policies and procedures and drive adoption of RapidResponse.
  • Formulate and execute plans to improve processes to comply with the Corp Maturity Audits
  • Facilitate or attend GBE/LOB regional demand planning meetings to capture input from marketing, sales & customer services
  • Validate or adjust the baseline statistical forecasts to reflect the Regional sales leaders input including won/lost customer demand, other customer and competitor behavior
  • Review CRM/Salesforce.com data with sales teams to determine appropriate adjustments that reflect unforecasted spikey demand
  • Document major risks and assumptions in the demand plan, including the coordination of new products, projects, promotions, events and/or customer planning activities.
  • Document all upside demand not modelled into the forecast
  • Capture Financial AOP's, Latest Estimates and SRO data
  • Develops a volume and value$ demand forecast at multiple levels of aggregation with a min of 12-18 months' time horizon.
  • Understand and document gaps between Consensus Demand Plan v AOP/LE/SRO
  • Work with Sales & Marketing to provide root cause analysis and corrective actions to continually improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Facilitate HBT/GBE Consensus Demand Review meetings
  • Facilitate HBT/GBE SRO planning in collaboration with Finance
  • Capture Escalations for discussion in the Reconciliation & Exec SIOP meetings
  • Develops a volume and value$ demand forecast at multiple levels of aggregation with a min of 12-18 months' time horizon.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to improve the quality of commercial input to the demand plans and vigorously drive out bias in the plans
  • Partner with SIOP process team and supply planners to maximum customer satisfaction and OTFP, stakeholder satisfaction and financial performance.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Min 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning, operations planning/scheduling, Materials Management or other Sales Inventory & Operations Planning related functional area.   
  • Proficiency with a Demand Planning tool (e.g. RapidResponse, SAP APO module, Forecast Pro).
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Business Administration, accounting, operations management, marketing or supply chain management.
  • Experience with SAP ERP systems
  • APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF certification preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and delegate.
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers.
