Overview / Objective
Machine Learning Operations Engineer, Director- This position requires a high level of technical expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining advanced analytic data products such as Machine Learning pipelines, data applications, and model endpoints. It will require interfacing with a broad audience of teams that support cloud engineering, data governance, data engineering, and advanced analytics to stand up scalable, robust cloud-based solutions. The role will focus on unleashing the league's data assets to improve league operations at scale within the Player Health and Safety domain. This role is fully onsite in our New York office, offering 4 remote days each month via accrual in our flex program.
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain scalable, robust AWS analytics solutions
- Develop and manage Machine Learning that extend CI/CD best practices into model management
- Provide robust solution documentation in order to enable internal operations teams to fully support solutions
- Keep data protection and security considerations at the forefront of every deliverable by closely interfacing with the cloud security engineering team
- Gather requirements and collaborate with stakeholders throughout solution development

Required Qualifications
- Experience designing and building end-to-end cloud data product solutions in AWS
- Strong Python skillset
- Experience working with container management (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Git version control proficiency
- Comfortable working with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience maintaining large AWS environments with infrastructure as code
- Experience with Machine Learning platforms such as Dataiku or MLFlow
- BS in Computer Science, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of AWS Cloud Experience
- 5+ years of management experience
- Advanced degree in Data Science, or related field
- Experience with GraphQL
- Full-stack Application Development experience
- AWS Cloud Certifications
- Experience with Python CDK for managing AWS infrastructure

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. To meet deliverable timelines, this position may need to occasionally exceed 40 hours a week.
