Overview

Director IT Business Partner FLSA: Exempt Effective/Revision Date: 9-21-20 Reports to: VP, IT Business Engagement & Planning Direct/In-Direct Reports: 3-4 Analysts, architect Job Summary The IT Business Partner will own an IT portfolio of products and services and will work with a specific business function to prioritize and align on demand (business and IT), drive key projects and initiatives, deliver proactive communications, develop forward plans, and ensure delivery of IT services. The role will interface with all levels, including executive-level ATI members for planning and prioritization. The IT Business Partner is a service broker between IT and the Business and will work to develop and improve the working partnership between IT and the business. This role will be an advocate for both the business and IT and will need to understand key business functional subject matter and IT services to help broker the best IT solutions. This specific role will support the enterprise functions including finance, human resources, information technology, and analytics. The primary focus areas will be rationalizing core reporting, related data management, and reporting and visualization delivery platforms. The IT Business Partner will report to the VP, IT Business Engagement & Planning and will interface with all levels of the organization, including the C-suite, executive-level, technology engineers, and key external partners and vendors. 

Responsibilities

Core Duties

Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop a business IT portfolio product vision, strategy, and achievable outcome-based product and technology roadmap.

Meet with leadership to structure and align on existing and emerging IT and business priorities.

Analyze, improve, and develop the enterprise product portfolio offerings.

Lead and manage strategic technology partners and supporting technology vendors

Manage inbound engagement (demand) and proactively educate and provide consult on the IT service portfolio and IT solutions.

Develop agile sprint planning and budgetary estimates

Provide technical guidance and thought leadership on technology service offerings

Drive and oversee priority business projects and programs to ensure alignment on expectations and outcomes

Develop and maintain the product roadmap and backlog

Conduct regular ongoing service reviews with the business to ensure on-going alignment to priorities

Research and understand market trends to help provide input into the long-term roadmap

 

Leadership/Management:

o Provides direction to, and accomplishes results through multiple teams o Manages the staffing and deployment of assigned resources

o Oversees employee learning and development needs

o Conducts performance reviews and manages human resource decisions such as hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's degree

MBA preferred

 

Min Experience

 

Required:

 

The ideal candidate has demonstrated deep skills (10-12 years) in digital product development, innovation, transformation, healthcare technology, and enterprise architecture

Experience developing target state solution designs and roadmaps

Demonstrated experience building and growing a greenfield digital technology capability

Deep agile and product development experience (8-10 years)

Experience designing, documenting, and measuring progress to target state outcomes

Experience establishing a strategy with a product team supporting a high-growth area

Healthcare industry experience highly preferred

Experience working with technology integration / application programming interface platforms preferred (provider to provider integrations) Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Experience working in teams and managing / overseeing team members of various levels experience.

Demonstrated experience working in a highly collaborative, ambiguous environment, and bringing disciplined structure

Excellent interpersonal skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Deep technical acumen in integration, reporting, and analytics technologies

 

 Licenses and Certifications:

ITIL certification preferred
