How will this role impact First Command?
First Command was founded in 1958 by a retired military officer who was passionate about helping service members and their families strengthen their financial security. The company is seeking a leader who shares this passion for our mission and who can empower our Financial Advisors with investment-specific training and education to elevate the client experience and increase sales production. We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented investment expert to help drive sales and distribution of our investment products.
What will you be doing?
- Build and maintain relationships with our field-force to effectively position and promote First Command's various investment product lines. This includes traveling into the field to provide in-person advisor and/or client-facing events.
- Serve as a liaison to the Investment Management Team (IMT) to maintain knowledge of First Command's investment strategies and market insights in order to provide ongoing support and guidance to help advisors maximize solution opportunities.
- Conduct regular meetings, webinars, and training sessions to keep advisors informed about product updates, market trends, and sales strategies.
- Assist the Sales Support Team and advisors with investment sales and strategy related client inquiries as needed, which may include joint client phone calls with First Command representatives.
- Offer comprehensive product training, presentations, and educational materials to enhance our field's understanding of our investment offerings. Partner closely with field-force training, planning, and our external business partners to accomplish this goal. Presentation focuses may include themes such as First Command's investment product and philosophy, investment sales strategy, First Command's official market and economic views, or other investment related concepts as requested by First Command's District Advisors.
- Collaborate with product management and operations to determine Investment Solutions that align with the needs of our clients, and with the IMT to strategize for their creation and delivery.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop personalized marketing materials and sales campaigns for the captive audience of financial advisors. Timely investment and/or economic theory and concepts may be included in this initiative from time-to-time in collaboration with the IMT.
- Use our technology to drive activity, track results, and increase investment production. Assist the field-force in adopting these tools to help grow their businesses.
What skills & qualifications do you need?
Education
Bachelor's degree in business or finance required
Work Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in investment sales or a related field.
- Proven success in generating sales and building client relationships.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the investment industry.
Certifications
- Series 6, 63, 65, and Life and Heath or Series 7, 66, and Life and Health
- CFA or a similar investment related professional credential preferred
