Job description

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an  Director of Integrated Technologies Sales who will serve as a technical product expert to support  the sales and aftersales organizations in developing and maintaining customer relationships. 

 

Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Support Regions and National Account sales/aftersales organizations on technical understanding of the Proprietary Powertrain system (e.g. Internal Combustion Engines, Battery Electric, Fuel Cell, etc..)
  • Work closely with Region and National Account leadership to develop strategies to support and grow Proprietary Powertrain Sales
  • Review specs and parameters identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and/or cost of operation
  • Elite presentation skills to convey clear concise Powertrain messaging to Navistar and Dealer Sales along with Executive Customer audience and Industry Marketing events
  • Lead voice of Proprietary Powertrain Systems to both internal and external audience
  • Lead / support internal cross functional communication within International and global teams (Business Unit, Marketing, Engineering, Quality, Prog Management, Scania, MAN, Etc)
  • Support and help develop Corporate messaging on Proprietary Powertrain Systems both internal and external
  • Oversee customer performance data and share feedback/data with engineering
  • Provide voice of customer feedback to planning groups inside Traton for future powertrain advancements
  • Strong  knowledge and understanding with the ability to speak to emerging technologies like ADAS, autonomous, BEV/FCEV and connected vehicles
  • Lead, manage, coach a team of Powertrain experts that will support all Proprietary Powertrain Sales
  • 25% - 50% domestic travel
  • Position to be located at Corporate Headquarters in Lisle IL
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 14 years of sales, product support or engineering experience
  • At least 6 years of management experience

OR

  • Master's degree
  • At least 12 years of sales, product support or engineering experience
  • At least 6 years of management experience

OR

  • At least 16 years of sales, product support or engineering experience
  • At least 6 years of management experience
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills

 

  • Vehicle/Powertrain engineering background
  • Management expereince
  • Good listening skills - need to understand the customer application/concern
  • Elite communication skills that enables you to speak in large and small group settings with technical and non-technical people
  • Willingness to travel (25%-50% travel)
  • In depth knowledge of Proprietary powertrain systems. (Engines, transmissions, axles, control strategies/parameters, Battery Electric)
  • Working knowledge of all vehicle systems
  • Knowledge, understanding, and able to communicate on:
    • Aerodynamic devices, Cooling, Air, Fuel, Aftertreatment, DEF, HVAC, Electrical, etc.
    • Emerging technologies like ADAS, Autonomous, BEV/FCEV and Connected
    • Maintenance practices and how they impact vehicle performance/total cost of ownership
    • Competitive products and performance capabilities
  • Develop/Create professional Powerpoint presentations for internal and external communication
  • Ability to extract, interpret and explain and advise vehicle performance data utilizing available tools (Bendix, OCC, Fleet Care, Services, etc.)
