Serves as the Infectious Disease director overseeing the HIV, sexually transmitted diseases (STD), and tuberculosis (TB) programs within the Division of Medical and Clinical Services. Develops and oversees the implementation of programs' goals, objectives, policies, and procedures to accomplish the mission of the Agency. Provides leadership and directs subordinate managers and staff. Maintains fiscal and administrative oversight of program activities.
Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) AND licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law AND Four years of management/supervisory experience in health care services related to Infectious Disease.
OR
Doctorate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of management/supervisory experience in health care services related to Infectious Disease.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference may be shown to applicants who possess the following:
- Progressive administrative and management experience.
- Experience working with community-based organizations and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Experience planning, preparing, and administering applications and budgets for Federal and State funding.
- Governmental (Local, State, Federal, or Tribal) public health experience.
- Experience in policy development, including legislation and rulemaking.
- Publication experience (peer-reviewed journals or reports)
- Public speaking experience
