Summary
This role is primarily responsible for leading all aspects of the Human Resources function, with a focus on attracting, developing, and retaining Best in Class talent. As a member of the Senior Management team, the successful candidate will serve as an advisor/business partner to senior management on all HR matters. Incumbents must have ability to provide strategic leadership, as well as being able to roll up their sleeves and take ownership of specific programs.
Responsibilities
• Oversees all functions of Human Resources, including recruitment, benefits, compensation, payroll, compliance, employee relations, performance management, HRIS and reporting, leadership development, and training.
• Serves as a business partner and advisor to the senior leadership team on all HR related matters including employee and organizational issues.
• Develops and executes HR programs and activities that promote a culture of high engagement, morale, and performance.
• Aligned to company objectives, develops annual goals and objectives for the HR department and leads the team effectively to ensure thorough and timely attainment of all goals.
• Evaluates the HR structure for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as for providing individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities.
• Regularly communicates and provides guidance, knowledge, and direction to HR staff members.
• Oversee and administer employee survey and Best Places to Work programs.
• Assists with the annual renewal strategy, planning and communications. Oversees the implementation of new benefit programs and the annual open enrollment process.
• Directly handles the annual Executive Compensation (Officer) review process, interacting regularly with the CEO to provide compensation analyses and reporting for Compensation Committee meetings.
• Directly handles the annual Non-Officer Compensation review cycle. Includes data compilation, analyses, and reporting. Meets with CEO to review, discuss, and obtain approvals. Ensures competitive compensation, internal equity, and accurate execution of all compensation and promotional adjustments. Analyzes wage and salary survey data to determine competitive compensation.
• Attends and participates in monthly Senior Management Meetings held by the CEO.
• Prepares, submits, and manages the annual HR budget.
• Prepares and provides quarterly status report detailing HR metrics (headcount, turnover stats, diversity stats, and recruitment – open and filled positions) as well as other key HR activity for the quarter.
• Prepares an annual HR Business Plan and presents to CEO. Includes staff overview, goals and accomplishments for prior year, key objectives and department goals for current year, and budget summary.
• May conduct presentations to Board of Trustees regarding Human Resources strategy and programs.
• Leads investigations for harassment and discrimination claims, ensuring full compliance while minimizing risk to the organization.
• Oversees the new employee orientation and onboarding programs to ensure immediate talent.
• Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces HR policies and procedures.
• Oversees the human resource information systems database to ensure accuracy and integrity of data, necessary for critical analyses and reporting.
• Complies with all federal, state and local legal requirements by staying abreast of existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on necessary actions. Supervisor Responsibility

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree a plus
• SPHR and SHRM-CRP certifications strongly preferred.
• 10 years plus of experience in a Generalist/HRBP role
• 5+ years of management experience
• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Willingness to be hands-on and do what it takes to get a job done.
• Attention to detail and accuracy focused.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
