The Director of Global Risk Management and Insurance leads the management and continuous improvement activities of the Global Risk Management function and serves as a key advisor on major projects and strategies. This role works with financial leaders and advisors to establish programs to identify and manage risks in alignment with corporate strategies and risk tolerances. The Director reports to the Senior Director, Treasury and has two direct reports.

What you'll be doing

• The assessment of risk and placement of insurance for property, casualty, D&O, and other insurable risk for KidneyCo and its subsidiaries worldwide.
• Responsible for enterprise Risk Management activities, claims management, property loss control, negotiation of contractual insurance requirements, policy renewals along with technology projects (including Origami).
• Collaborates with key internal stakeholders to recommend, negotiate and ensure placement of cost effective insurance policies with coverages, deductibles and limits within the company’s risk appetite.
• Reports to Treasury and Finance leadership while preparing updates to the Board as required.
• Represents the company with brokers, global insurers, third party claim administrators and industry associations while pursuing best-in-class benchmarking activities.

What you'll bring

• Master’s degree in Risk Management, finance, or business administration and/or demonstrated experience with ability to lead a large best-in-class global insurance function.
• Strong analytical skills, business acumen, judgement, and decision-making capabilities. Ability to translate strategic corporate objectives into actionable and realistic cascading targets.
• Ability to drive engagement by creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives. Can operate effectively at all levels of an organization.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $168,000 - $252,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or long-term incentive.
