The pay range is $123,100.00 - $221,600.00
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. Experiential Marketing at Target is an integral part of the marketing mix and is leveraged to connect with everyone from the general public to influencers, media, business partners, community partners and team members. Within Target, experiential activations have played a large role in helping make Target an iconic brand - from an immersive holiday experience like Target Wonderland , to launching all our designer partnerships to creating a fashion show on the side of a hotel to Target's Annual Meeting with 20,000 attendees. Experiential excellence and innovation is part of Target's brand DNA.
As a Creative Director for Experiential you will be responsible to articulate strategy, influence creative and operationalize the experiential annual calendar. You and your team will lead creating immersive experiences for our guest that is relevant, fun, immersive, joyful and uniquely Target. As a part of your role, understanding the cultural landscape and Target's brand voice to infuse the work with an unmistakable Target approach, while seamlessly integrating a multicultural guest lens. You will influence and guide several multi-disciplinary business and creative teams toward an innovative, immersive expression of our brand. You will lead this marketing channel as COE from strategy, planning ,creative oversight, production, partner engagement, budgeting, to measurement. One of your key focuses will be to support and develop the talent on your team. You will manage external agencies and along with internal teams and collaborate with partners to bring business strategies to life. You will advance creative solutions and challenge conventional thinking and bring partners along from the Enterprise, ranging from Social, Comms, Media, and embed our Loyalty ecosystem and vendor partners.
About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of experience in leading creative functions in retail, advertising, design or related industry
  • Extensive experience in events
  • Experience in leading teams with the ability to communicate vision in an inspiring way
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, think critically, and communicate effectively, including the ability to clearly present concepts and ideas, including abilityto interface with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people, including providing meaningful feedback and managing performance
  • Ability to lead a team through challenging moments, keeping them motivated and results-focused
  • Flexible to travel (some weekends included), as needed

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
