Director, Enterprise Innovation

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

**This is a hybrid position working 2 days a week in our Boston office (not remote or other locations)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques, including predictive modeling, natural language processing, computer vision, and Generative AI have great potential to strengthen our competitive advantage and unlock new value. We are looking for a new member of the Enterprise Innovation team who will work hand-in-hand with our Data Science and Engineering teams to leverage these capabilities to reinvent the customer experience, enhance our products and services, and drive operational efficiencies. This individual will be responsible for:

• Defining strategy and opportunity spaces (includes partnering with the business to identify new uses cases and opportunities for experimentation)
• Program managing efforts and communicating progress to Executive Leadership
• Partnering with our Product Owners, Data Scientists, and Engineering teams to build, test, and scale new products and services
• Managing our AI Collaboration with MIT, which includes working with project teams across the Lab to identify opportunities to weave academic research into our incubation programs

Please Note: This is a range posting for an Asst. Director or Director I position. Compensation will depend on experience, skill level and education.

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 6-8 years in product management, strategy, consulting or other relevant work experience required for Assistant Director role
• Minimum of 7-10 years in product management, strategy, consulting or other relevant work experience required for Director I role
• Self-starter who takes the initiative to lead their own projects and can set a vision
• Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
• Understanding of the insurance or financial services industries
• Exposure to working with Data Science and/or Engineering teams a plus
• Experience / exposure to Agile a plus
• Strong project management skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Highly organized and can juggle multiple projects / priorities at once
