Description:Position Summary:Director, DSD (Direct Sales Delivery) Excellence is responsible for managing and holding the front-line leaders accountable for the on-going sustainability of the selling and operational activities as defined by the DSD Excellence standards.

Success is defined by brand growth, the attainment of the Company's vision for profit, and continuous improvement through the BBU (Bimbo Bakeries USA) way of selling.Key Job Responsibilities:Collaborates and supports the Director of Sales in the development and maintenance of the overall structure and functions needed to execute DSD excellence initiatives.Create and maintain an audit schedule of all markets and sales centers to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of DSD Excellence activities.Communicate to local DOS (director of sales) and the Corporate DSD Excellence Executive team the results of compliance audits and responsible for creating corrective action plans, in coordination with DOS, to address deficiencies found in market.Supports the Business Unit with strategies for Market expansion and Real Estate needs.Supervise all Business Development positions.Supports financial reviews of Independent Distributor's route prior to purchases and facilitation of sale.Manages and provides oversight to the overall route structure, profitability, and viability including route splits/adds/cuts.Drives and continuously monitors safety initiatives for effectiveness throughout the local organization, both in the marketplace and in the sales centers.Supporting and maintaining best practices for the compliance of all BBU Food Safety and internal audit standards.Positively impacts the P&L by providing full transparency to the DSD Excellence Key Performance Indicators across submarkets within the Business Unit.Leads the on-going development of the sales leaders through the DSD Excellence curriculum to drive continuous improvement.Responsible for building the organizational capability for sales and execution through the effective recruitment and on-boarding of future world class leaders.Provide leadership to ensure that all sales tools and technology are being used to maximize achievement of sales and profit targets.Aligns and collaborates with the Business Unit leaders to develop strategic plans to support growth opportunities and different paths to market.Oversees all activities related to the disciplines of managing SBT shrink and product accountability.Drive and support the achievement of safety goals; coach and lead the awareness of safety programs accordingly to eliminate unsafe acts, eliminate workplace injuries, and lead local organization to achieve the goal of zero injuries and maintain and enforce BBU Food Safety and internal audit standards.#LI-VB1 Position Requirements:Key Behavioral Competencies:Ability to translate operational and strategic initiatives from senior leaders into action plans.Accountable to develop and lead a team of direct reports to include management, professional and senior level employees.Responsible to define clear goals and objectives.Provides recommendations and contributes to short term to medium term tactical planning with impact to multiple areas.Designs programs and policies for area of responsibility.Ability to provide clarity to others to accept innovative ideas or changing concepts and initiates and orchestrates the pace of change.Develops and manages a sub-functional budget.Education and Work History:Bachelor's degree in business or related field required, MBA preferred. Ideal candidate will possess:10-12 years management experience in all aspects of food sales or relevant responsibilities in comparable industry.A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.Excellent presentation, organizational, analytical and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and sales analytical tools.Track record as a successful Team leader and coaching.Travel is required, 40%.Global travel may be required.
