Location Description
Post Consumer Brands corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. is about 20 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Lakeville has all the benefits of smaller town living with access to everything a large metropolitan area has to offer. Responsibilities
JOB OVERVIEW:
This leadership position will partner with Supply Chain leaders to plan/implement the Distribution network footprint changes and required automation to enable business growth and drive synergies. The first phase of the changes will allow PCB to integrate the newly acquired pet food business into the DC network. This individual will have direct accountability for delivering the projects on time and meeting financial goals of capital spend, expense and savings. Our future network success relies on this role's strategic planning, execution and collaboration with the other supply chain functions. This role will work in tandem with the Director of Warehouse Operations to understand how to seamlessly integrate into PCB's current processes or implementing improvements.
Working Location: Office/Remote Hybrid. This role will be officed out of the Lakeville, MN Corporate office
This position is in-office with a flexible schedule that may entail working from home a couple of days out of the week. #LI-hybrid
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ownership of the plan and implementation of the Distribution footprint to enable integration of Pet Food into our PCB network
  • Manage program communications with the Executive Steering Committee including CEO, CFO and Supply Chain leadership to update on progress including project status and delivery of financials
  • Partner with third party consulting service to develop initiatives that deliver a best in class future state Distribution network for PCB
  • Develop a plan for at least one new DC site to drive high performance in safety, productivity, cost, inventory accuracy, service, damage and compliance
  • Collaborate with Finance, and Director of Warehouse Operations to develop an annual operating budget and forecasts for the new DC sites.
  • Drive high performance in DCs through process enhancements and implementation of automation.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to recruit, hire and retain exempt & non-exempt team members for new sites
  • Lead up to three project managers responsible for supporting specific projects within the scope of the Distribution network changes
  • Partner with the Warehouse Operations team to identify existing processes, standards and Improvement opportunities
  • Partner with Director of Strategic Initiatives in CI/Engineering to outline capital needs
  • Partner with SC Leadership for creation of inventory transition plan from existing footprint to proposed footprint while maintaining service and other KPIs for customers at cost expectations

Qualifications
Education: Four-year degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field is required.
Experience:
  • 10+ years of warehouse/logistics experience including direct people management
  • Experience leading in Warehouse environments preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Experience with optimization and start up projects
  • Experience with Warehouse management systems preferred
  • Distribution experience with multiple categories and a variety of storage methods
  • Experience working with 3PL companies

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of the relationships among Supply Chain functions including Transportation, Warehousing, Customer Service, Inventory Planning and Purchasing.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment and techniques
  • Understanding of and practical experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma techniques preferred
  • Demonstrates Values, People, Performance, and Thought leadership as defined by Post Consumer Brands' Leadership Expectations
  • Decisive, with the ability to develop credibility across the organization
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to diverse personalities. Tactful and mature.

  • Able to establish priorities and obtain results

Travel: Up to 25% travel to the DC sites, including any new locations
