A Distribution Center Director leads, plans, directs and controls the management and performance of the Distribution Center and Facilities operations in support of company strategic goals. The Distribution Center Director drives leadership and communication to the operation to maximize efficiency. This role is part of the Operations team.

Directs the overall Distribution Center operations, inventory management, product distribution and facilities maintenance for a Hometown.
Builds a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, and ensures alignment with business and operational strategies.
Leads team member engagement and development throughout their Hometown Distribution Center.

Directs the overall Distribution Center operations, inventory management, product distribution and facilities maintenance for a Hometown.
- Manages and monitors the Distribution Center space utilization to optimize product storage and all Distribution Center productivity.
- Manages inventory control process and procedures for accuracy through the monitoring of daily warehouse activities.
- Manages Facilities maintenance for Hometown buildings and operations.
- Manages and monitors expenses for all areas of the warehouse within an approved budget.
- Directs, plans and manages product distribution activities to achieve company goals, and analyze existing distribution procedures and recommend improvements.
- Directs the planning and assignment of work for the most efficient use of team members and equipment.
- Communicates issues and opportunities effectively to shift managers and other management team members.
- Analyzes existing distribution procedures and recommend improvements.
- Manages the processing of customer orders.
- Oversees the security and condition of all beer and other distribution equipment.
- Ensures workplace health, safety, security and cleanliness requirements are met by following policies and procedures.
- Ensures TABC and OSHA compliance.
- Schedules maintenance and repairs for the Distribution Center vehicles, machinery and equipment.
Builds a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, and ensures alignment with business and operational strategies.
- Develops and executes the operations strategy in alignment with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
- Develops and implements processes and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in operational performance.
- Promotes and expects excellence through mentoring.
- Develops continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices with team members.
- Collaborates across all functional areas to ensure alignment and provide direction on business strategies and initiatives.
- Monitors industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
Leads team member engagement and development throughout their Hometown Distribution Center.
- Improve associate engagement through improved working environment, continued proactive communication, and prompt reaction to concerns.
- Provides strategic leadership and guidance to develop, coach, and mentor Coaches and team members.
- Fosters a safety and compliance culture within the Distribution Center and among all team members; ensures all safety and compliance policies and procedures are followed.
- Sets and measures established metrics and benchmarks to judge performance of the team and push for needed changes where necessary.
Here's what you must have to be considered for this role...
- Five to Ten Years Progressively Responsible Warehouse Operations and Management Experience
- Three to Five Years of Supervisory Experience
- Advanced Communication and Team Building Skills
- High School Graduate or Equivalent Certification
- Advanced Technical Skills and Aptitude; Advanced Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems
Here's what we hope you have...
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Other Related Field
- Class A CDL License
- Forklift and Equipment Experience and Certification
