  • This role will be a key driving force to collaborate with American’s charitable initiatives and further integrate the Museum with the American Airlines campus. Key areas of focus include generating funds from contributed/earned sources and finding opportunities to create awareness and Engagement with key stakeholders.

What you'll do
  • Drive contributions from new and existing corporate donors,  sponsors, foundations, special events, individual donors, memberships and more.  
  • Manage stewardship of individual relationships/accounts and identify opportunities to enhance value for donors, supporters and members. 
  • Partner with marketing, communications and other groups at American Airlines to enhance awareness, engagement and support.  
  • Drive revenue from existing and new earned revenue streams.   
  • Run analysis and make decisions based on data to achieve KPIs and goals.  
  • Support evolution of the organization through innovation and change.  
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned. 
  • Ability to work evenings or weekends, as required. 
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience 

  • Minimum of five years of experience in fundraising, sponsorship, cause marketing or similar function, with significant demonstrated success in generating leads, tapping new sources and developing sustainable new partners.  
  • Understanding of tax implications of contributions driven by Museum’s nonprofit status.  
  • Familiarity with use of fundraising platform (Veevart or Salesforce-based preferred). 
  • Minimum of three years of experience leading teams.  
  • Experience managing complex projects with a diverse stakeholder base.  
  • Experience interacting with all levels of leadership.  

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience 

  • Understanding of commercial aviation, aviation history, STEAM education in an informal education setting a plus.  

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Affinity for the Museum's mission. 
  • Experience driving contributions from both existing and new relationships. 
  • Experience managing earned income streams.  
  • Self-starter with initiative, creativity and tenacity.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling "sales" materials for fundraising. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay on top of a broad portfolio of responsibilities. 
  • Team player.
