Director Data Management


Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our PulsePoint locations.

The Director Data Managementis responsible for the Ownership and leadership of the enterprise Data Management program.

How you will make an impact:

  • Responsible for Data model management, metaData Management, universe/catalog management, master Data Management (codes/hierarchies/etc.), data asset management, data owner management, and data quality program management.
  • Operational implementation of data policies and standards including documentation, maintenance, and enforcement.
  • Defines and implements overall data quality strategies, processes, and methodologies; Oversees data quality architecture and governance; Documents and gains consensus on business and IT service-level agreements (SLAs) for improving data quality; Performs data quality monitoring and assurance; Develops and implements communications strategy regarding data quality.
  • Support high-availability, high-performing, scalable, and extensible single version of the truth enterprise data repositories and BI.
  • Interact and communicate with executive-level stakeholders in support of organizational initiatives.
  • Develop short- and long-range plans regarding the strategic direction, requirements, and operational needs of Data Management.
  • Assists with overall funding strategy; forecasts resource and budget needs and directs the evaluation of systems and technologies to meet the Data Management requirements of the business.
  • Promotes processes and standards designed to maximize the value of information assets by ensuring their availability, accuracy, usefulness, and security.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 8+ years of both Data Management and management experience; or any combination of education and experience, that would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Graduate degree and/or professional designation related to field preferred.
  • Understanding of complex business processes is strongly preferred.
