WHAT YOU'LL DO
A creative brand builder who can lead our small, but growing team of designers, copywriters project manager and motion graphics designer. As well as co-lead our brand refresh. This is your opportunity to create, own and implement a new brand for a fast growing, publicly traded tech company. Day-to-day will include asset ideation and creation for a multitude of disciplines and a multitude of channels including "internal" materials like presentations, brochures, postcards, and branded print collateral for events. And external marketing & advertising like site-design, email, banner, social assets, OOH and eventual brand campaign. We need someone who can tackle the minutia while also thinking big picture. Someone who can create a consistent and compelling look, while mentoring and directing our designers and editors.
- Bring a high level of energy, organization and creativity to the brand, and to the brand team while working under tight deadlines.
- By the final say on all things visual for the Braze brand.
- Work closely with the VP Brand, Executive Creative Director to elevate the voice, messaging, look and emotional relevance of Braze.
- Lead team members throughout the creative process from concept to production.
- Conceptualize visual design solutions that maintains the consistency of the Braze brand across channels.
- Work with our motion designer to bring motion to many of our assets.
- Effectively coordinate and maintain relationships with outside vendors, freelancers, strategists and printers.
- Mentor and manage junior staff.
- Define the development of the creative team's culture and quality standards.
- Meet the challenges of large tentpole events - Sales Kick-Off, Braze Kick-Off, Forge (Conferences).
- Find efficiencies to help our team deliver better, faster more effective content.
- 15+ years of professional design/advertising experience
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Ideally, a mix of both client and agency-side creative experience.
- BFA/BA in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or related field
- Possess a strong portfolio that demonstrates versatility and a broad range of design knowledge and skills - including video and motion
- Expertise of industry tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc)
- Possess a working knowledge of Figma
- Knowledgeable of website design fundamentals, including responsive best practices
- Experience working with developers and communicating design specifications.
- Experience creating print materials for press and content-heavy collateral.
- Experience with production of static, digital and film assets
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to juggle multiple, demanding tasks simultaneously and with accuracy.
- Experience as client-side creative head for SaaS platform
- Experience with large rebranding projects
- Experience with highly technical clients and or platforms
