About the Role:

TheClinical Learning and Development Director will be responsible for leading and growing Octave's education and support for our network of contracted therapists. This position will be responsible for evolving our provider training, clinical content resources, LMS platform and onboarding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health with a focus on provider education, training and delivery of quality care. This position is expected to support our mission to bring quality, outcomes driven mental health care to millions of insured individuals.

Management Responsibilities:
  • Provide day to day leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring professional development and performance management in achieving goals and objectives.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects and initiatives within the team.
  • Establish and monitor operational processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Balance data driven needs with execution and operational capabilities in a multi-state network of providers.
  • Implement best practices, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop strategies to achieve excellence.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Work closely with Clinical and Operational leadership to develop and establish Learning and professional development programming in accordance with Octave's values and mission of providing evidence based quality mental healthcare.
  • Develop an andragogy based curriculum using various formats, including digital and LMS, that supports network wide implementation of quality, value driven, measurement based care and culturally responsive practices.
  • Create compelling visual designs for training while taking target audience and usability into consideration.
  • Utilize data and collaborate with Clinical Leadership to understand the impact and effectiveness of implemented training and resources for continuous improvement of provider outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Leadership to ensure high quality documentation and compliance with internal and external documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure advancement of care delivery and documentation.
  • Review feedback and evaluations from contractors and feedback from Clinical Leadership to make necessary changes.
  • Support representation of Octave's clinical quality and performance with external parties.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Passion for mental health and changing the healthcare landscape.
  • Must have at least 2 years experience providing culturally responsive training services in the form of large and smaller group settings.
  • Experience implementing educational/training programs.
  • Familiarity with data based decision making and business analytics tools such as Excel and Tableau.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a preference to work as part of a team.
  • PsyD, PhD, or Masters degree in social sciences or equivalent experience conducting mental health training/education
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in a combination of operational settings, people management or consulting roles. Startup experience is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet.
  • Must be able to observe and communicate information on company provided laptop.
  • Move up to 10 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Compensation:

Octave is committed to pay equity. To maintain our commitment to pay equity, Octave will follow Pay Transparency regulations on all open job postings. Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future.

The salary range for this role is $138,300 - $172,900.

Additionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans. Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available. Octave offers generous Paid Time Off as well as paid parental leave benefits.
