What will you do
The Director, Category Excellence FDC is a customer facing role responsible for building and leading a fit-for-future data-based Category & Shopper Organization. This individual will develop and deploy an efficient, advanced analytics-strategy, will lead and develop our Category Excellence talent and will shape and deploy strategic insight-based recommendations to drive business results.
This individual will lead the FDC Category Insights & Analytics roadmap with focus on optimizing national & customer data management, shopper insight delivery and identifying retailer & shopper journey solutions. The Director will ensure the solutions are scalable and designed in an iterative, agile manner executing on a vision that will drive strategic growth for the organization and our retail partners. This talent will also deliver strategic project leadership and develop and deploy talent training agenda to further upskill the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the FDC Category Excellence team to maximize value for our omni-partners
Collaborate with counterparts at our omni-partners to co-create a Category JBP across strategically aligned categories
Deliver strong ROI and business results tied to category analytics, shopper insights and category strategies
Advance analytics & insights capabilities to provide best practices and thought leadership across the FDC teams as well as the broader Category Excellence and Kenvue Organization
Leverage customer specific insights and data sources to identify business building opportunities with cross functional partners and internal stakeholders.
Oversee category execution strategy across FCD team leveraging data and insights to optimize the shopper journey and omni-retail executions
Effectively manage all data reporting & strategic support for FCD businesses with integrity; optimize ways of working for key internal and external stakeholders
Prepare, maintain, and monitor respective budget(s) ensuring a strong return for investment
Acquire and attract diverse talent to upskill the organization.
Lead Category Excellence upskilling training strategy & deployment
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
10 years of Consumer Products industry experience in Sales/Sales Analytics, Category Insights & Analytics, and/or Shopper Insights & analytics
5 years of people management experience
Strategic and Analytical Mindset
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to create simplicity from complexity, expert narrative development/storytelling
Proven ability to collaborate successfully across all levels of the organization
Ability to inspire and mobilize, cross-functional team members to support and execute against strategic initiatives
Proven ability to lead and train colleagues on how to use & interpret data insights to build compelling strategy, drive action, influence stakeholders
Deep analytical expertise and experience working with syndicated data, panel data, shopper-card data, and other research processes
Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen.
Strong digital literacy, including advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite applications
25% domestic travel
Desired Qualifications:
Direct customer sales experience in CPG is preferred
Extensive knowledge of omni retail customer store operations, structure, strategy, and retail execution tactics preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 - $235,750
