Salary $80,000-$100,000 + bonus

Responsible for Cargo Operations, ongoing/future Cargo Projects and managing optimal Performance levels, additionally responsible for Implementing Strategic and Tactical objectives in dnata Cargo, with specific emphasis on new warehouse projects, enhancing customer service and ensuring adequate leadership and staffing levels and compliance of industry standards, and regulatory bodies (TSA, CBP, Port Authorities).

 

Interact and communicate across all levels with internal and external customers to ensure growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Facilitate new and existing systems into the business, and drive culture through consistency. Develop systems, processes, and plans, and lead change to improve results, including but not limited to other duties as assigned.

  • Implements strategic objectives for the region and measurement of progress of those objectives in Cargo business and Aviation industry.
  • Implements policies and best practices to support the achievement of objectives and required Cargo standards.
  • Lead and rollout all ESG Initiatives as per the dnata Global strategic vision.
  • Ensures compliance with Regulatory bodies (TSA, CBP and other applicable), federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Leads and Facilitates implementation of new projects/systems like iCargo, AMS Messaging and major modifications of existing systems to reduce downtime.
  • Plans and ensures availability of adequate and appropriate equipment, staffing, and systems; recommends additional staffing and services.
  • Leads and Manages audits, requests for information and project implementation to completion.
  • Develops, plans, and implements operational objectives; departmental policies, procedures, and/or activities to ensure Cargo operations run smoothly.
  • Engages in continued strategic examination of the operations to build strong team collaboration and operational effectiveness.
  • Assumes responsibility as region contact for contractual obligations relevant to the including real property leases, permits, amendments, agreements, permits, etc.
  • Oversee Cargo operations to enhance employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
  • Provide operational input for strategic business planning, technology integration, innovation, and process changes in facilities across the network to drive exponential growth.
  • Collaborate and innovate with all executive and field leadership teams.
  • Other job-related duties as requested.

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in business or a combination of education and experience in the airline industry.
  • 3-5 years of experience in projectized work including business startups is an essential requirement.
  • Knowledge and experience of Global Cargo Systems & implementation is an essential requirement.
  • Experience of managing modern Cargo Infrastructure Projects, equipped with ASRS/ETV and automation is essential.
  • Accomplished business development leader with a proven track record of achieving targeted sales growth and account profitability with 10 years’ experience in the airline industry.
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.
  • Superior written and verbal communications, decision making, problem-solving, and organizational skills essential.
  • Timely decision maker, able to prioritize critical tasks that add the highest value.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach teams on complex sales negotiations and use of problem-solving techniques.
  • Capacity to measure and track progress, know how to design effective and efficient business development processes.
  • Must be able to travel frequently within the US and some international travel.
