The Azure Customer Success team helps our customers achieve their own digital transformation by providing expert technical advice and guidance. We are seeking an experienced Business Architect and Strategy Lead who will work on a global strategy team and help provide forward-looking, prescriptive and inquisitive insights that will shape business decisions.
The Director, Business Architect, will focus on Azure Infrastructure and Capacity Planning with a core mission of delivering field insights and analytics to drive alignment with engineering and datacenter capacity teams to ensure prioritization of SKU-level capacity to fuel continued consumption growth and customer satisfaction. You will work in conjunction with other Business Architects who are experts in their technical workload domains to drive a unified Capacity Planning strategy and execution framework for the Customer Success teams and the field at large.
You will develop and drive the Capacity Planning strategy and communication framework for Azure within the Customer Success organization with a focus on driving customer satisfaction and seamless end-to-end execution excellence. You'll be a key influencer for shaping the execution and perspective of MCAPS field leaders on Azure consumption growth by managing productive partnerships with the Customer Success Unit (CSU) leaders across the A14 Areas and be sought-after as a thought leader on the Azure business. As the Azure Infrastructure Capacity Planning Lead, you'll partner closely with Sales Strategy, field teams, Marketing, Solution Sales, Partner and Product Group counterparts to shape and execute the Azure Infrastructure Capacity Planning strategy!
This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
• Business leadership: Own the Azure Capacity Planning strategy to enable attainment of our financial targets and long-range plan by showing thought leadership and working collaboratively with other leaders
• Capacity strategy: Lead our organization's end-to-end Capacity Planning strategy, metrics and communication plan to ensure field success
• Technical platform depth: Understand in detail the customer value prop and journey to Azure; gather insights and signals to help unblock customer scenarios and influence product strategy decisions
• Performance management: drive growth, execution, and perspective on overall business performance across the organization based on progress against Capacity related KPIs and Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR) target
• Consumption strategy development and execution: Design proactive Capacity Planning guidance, delivery approaches, and mitigation strategies that benefit our customers and accelerate time to value in alignment with our overall Unified strategy
• Customer success and consumption leadership: Extract and share capacity-related insights that can be used to accelerate Azure growth; spot trends early and derive insights from data that drive customer value
• Closed Feedback Loop: Facilitate and deliver closed feedback loop with key executive sponsors, field leadership, and cross-organizational partners including Engineering, Product Marketing, WW Customer Success
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications
• In-depth understanding of capacity-based business drivers, regional deployment strategies, capabilities and solutions that generate customer growth and innovation
• Solid understanding of capacity trends & patterns, especially as it relates to how our customers adopt these technologies and evolve
• Thorough knowledge of common workload scenarios (i.e. migrate and modernize across Windows and Linux IaaS, Oracle, SAP, Azure Arc, and related Security, Management, Storage, and Networking requirements)
• Influencer who can get things done. You will be able to separate what''s important from what''s urgent and find the path forward from among multiple scenarios, earn trust from collaborators, and thrive on ambiguity to deliver business outcomes
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations and demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
• 5+ years of experience in cloud implementations, mass migrations, cloud infrastructure technologies and architecture
• 8+ years of experience in sales or consulting in the enterprise segment, working directly with large customers
• 5+ years of Program, Project, or Product Management
• Experience of designing, building, and executing highly successful global programs and strategy at scale
• MS / MBA preferred.
Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $242,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $264,000 per year.
