Pandora

Pandora, a subsidiary of SiriusXM, is the largest ad-supported audio entertainment streaming service in the U.S. Pandora provides consumers with a uniquely-personalized music and podcast listening experience with its proprietary Music Genome Project and Podcast Genome Project technology. Pandora is available through its mobile app, the web, and integrations with more than 2,000 connected products.

How you'll make an impact:

The Director, Audience Engagement & Lifecycle Marketing will drive an integral part of Pandora's direct-to-consumer growth strategy and execution of personalized audience campaigns - overseeing active user retention, engagement, and monetization across free ad supported and premium subscription product tiers.

What you'll do:

  • Drive the roadmap, strategy and execution of Lifecycle Marketing to onboard, retain, winback and increase lifetime value by engaging customers with personalized, targeted and relevant marketing
  • Implement and execute cohort and audience strategies to improve engagement across all stages of the listener lifecycle journey
  • Partner with Content and Data Science to build an integrated marketing program through the promotion of automated recommendations and incentives, leveraging new tools and features to enhance the listener experience
  • Own omni-channel marketing orchestration and communication plans across email, mobile push, in-app messaging, and on-platform advertising, etc - ensuring the best messages are delivered to the right person, at the right time, at the right place.
  • Partner with Analytics, Science and Finance to determine a set of North Star metric(s) to assess the impact of channels and programs on engagement and retention.  Define feature and data requirements to improve delivery of relevant, personalized, real-time marketing and own iterative omni-channel tests to determine next-best action across a variety of interest segments and personas.
  • Drive constant 'test and learn' methodology to achieve incremental impact on Pandora's lifecycle program and listener LTV.  Utilize customer segmentation, actionable cohorting, perform analysis and content/messaging mix to extract insights that unlock engagement, revenue and monetization
  • Define and document briefs, business rules, data/tech requirements, system integrations as well as process and procedures for all Lifecycle Marketing campaigns.  Establish workflows, communications and prioritization for a center of excellence.  Share best in class automation and personalization case studies across a variety of verticals.
  • Lead and coach a team of strong performance marketers

What you'll need:

  • 8+ years of experience in leading customer relationship management or Lifecycle Marketing operations for a direct-to-consumer brand, 4+ in a leadership role
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Digital streaming or e-commerce experience preferred
  • Prior experience in e-commerce, streaming or DTC businesses (OTT, SAAS, Consumer Tech)
  • Data driven and highly analytical, with the ability to distill large amounts of data to surface insights and opportunities that generate retention and LTV
  • Comprehensive knowledge and hands on experience with customer engagement programs such as Braze, Salesforce, Airship, Iterable.
  • Advanced knowledge of automation, journey orchestration and measurement best practices for consumer-facing businesses
  • Keeps an active pulse on the latest industry developments and trends
  • Excellent communication and PowerPoint skills, comfortable presenting to senior executives
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel (or SQL); outstanding analytics/data skills
  • Takes proactive ownership of projects and has a bias for action & results
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and influence at all levels.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $135,000 to $175,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
