Position Overview
As a Director in CrossCountry's Financial Services Practice, you will be part of the team assisting large Asset Managers, Private Equity firms, Credit Funds, CLO Issuers supporting and improving middle and back-office operations functions, including: valuations, risk analytics, counterparty reconciliations, fund accounting, system selection and implementation, target operating model development, data integration with fund administrators and financial reporting.
What You'll Do:
    • Client Delivery: Lead the development and delivery of services in the following areas:
    • Primary ongoing responsibility is for management of a range of Asset Management projects. Focuses on meeting project commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders, etc. May or may not have direct reports depending on the project. Spends significant time on project management responsibilities
    • Is recognized by clients and peers as a subject matter expert in Asset Management, alternative investment private equity
    • Interact regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving operations. Advocate on behalf of clients and represent clients' needs as appropriate to leadership. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes

    • Leadership: Serve as a key leader in the Financial Services practice by:
    • Act as a subject matter expert in Asset Management by keeping up-to-date with legal, regulatory and industry practice developments, including assessing and responding to consultations
    • Managing client accounts, projects, and engagements, including: work plans, staffing, deadlines, and budgets throughout all lifecycle phases, to include strategy, goal-setting, deliverables, and maintaining an integrated project plan
    • Developing and managing client relationships by understanding their business, listening to their needs, and ensuring responsive service and exceptional quality
    • Managing teams and individuals by tracking and directing performance against objectives, creating an atmosphere of trust and collaboration, modeling leadership behaviors and encouraging continuous improvement and innovation
    • Developing timely resolutions to issues, risks, and project team conflicts
    • Utilizing existing network to introduce CrossCountry to potential clients
    • Generating new and add-on business opportunities, developing delivery methodologies and new service offerings, and coaching and developing team members
    • Providing input on strategic direction
    • Recruiting and cultivating exceptional talent
    • Act as role model, supervisor, coach, and mentor to Consultants and Senior Consultants, both on projects and within coaching families
    • Participate in advancing the firm through committees and internal initiatives such as recruiting, business development, marketing, and knowledge sharing 
What You'll Bring:
    • 15+ years' experience either in an external consulting capacity and/or within an internal change/project team as per the following:
    • Private Equity: complex fund structures, investor/deal allocations, waterfall calculations, performance attribution, reporting or performance in a business analysis capacity
    • Experience with one (or more) of the following platforms: Advent Geneva, Investran, eFront Burgiss, iLevel, AltaReturn, Allvue, LemonEdge, Chronograph, Dealcloud, Yardi, or Intralinks
    • Understanding of databases such as MS Access, SQL Server etc.
    • Managing and developing junior team members
    • Ability to quickly absorb and sort through large quantities of new information in an unfamiliar business area
    • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and a creative and flexible approach to problem solving
    • High energy, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit
    • Great sense of humor!
Education:
    • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in business, finance, economics, engineering, systems, accounting or other technical discipline
Desired Certifications:
    • CFA, CAIA, CPA, PMP

For applicants located in New York, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $220,000 - $303,250 per year + annual bonus + additional benefits.
