The Horizontal Directional Drill Operator for our Federal Water project is responsible for efficiently operating the drill to install underground water and sewer systems. This role involves transporting heavy equipment daily, planning and executing Directional Drill bore paths, and completing drilling in standard and high-risk areas.

- Operates Horizontal Directional Drill for installation of underground water and sewer
- Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day
- Properly plan and execute a Directional Drill bore path
- Complete drilling in both standard high-risk areas; with live utilities
- Ensure vehicles, equipment, and tools are properly maintained, in good repair and secured in a safe manner
- Properly document all work completed to include pothole and bore logs
- Conduit splicing, vault/pedestal placement and fiber/coax placement as needed
- Complete general restoration and cleanup
- Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- 3+ years experience of Directional Drilling experience required
- Valid drivers license and CDL required
- Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces or elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing in all weather

- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times.
