Summary
The Tracker/operator position is responsible for assisting the foreman in all aspects of the job for timely completion to include tracking, boring, trenching, set poles, pull fiber, install ground boxes, pour concrete, build fences, set towers, plow, set bungalows, install high voltage circuits and transformers.
Required Experiences
- 3+ years' experience in tracking bores and fluent in heavy equipment operations
- Knowledge of terminology associated with boring, plowing, electrical circuits, bungalow sets, fiber pulling,
- Attention to detail and initiative to be self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to listen, follow directions and communicate effectively.
- Ability to manage time and work independently or with other team members.
- OSHA Certified.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct daily safety briefings
- Always Maintain safe working conditions.
- Maintain condition, functionality and always use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Must be able to Operate equipment efficiently
- Locate with accuracy to assist machine operators shooting bores.
- Travel as required for jobs to ensure projects are on schedule.
- Must maintain a Class A CDL or be able to obtain one in 60 days

Physical Demands
Duties may require:
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling and/or sitting for long periods of time
- Climbing towers and ladders to reach electrical circuitry
- Push/Pull/Lift/Moving 80 pounds repeatedly
- Working in adverse weather conditions
- Entering confined spaces and or trenches for extended periods of time
- Walking on steep inclines covered with loose rock or ballast
