SalaryJob Title: Direct Support Professional
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement individualized care plans and support goals
- Promote independence and community integration for individuals
- Assist with transportation to appointments, activities, and outings
- Document and maintain accurate records of services provided
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals
Experience:
- Previous experience in Direct Support or related field preferred
- Knowledge of hospice care, social work, dementia care, working with people with autism, or childcare is a plus
- Ability to provide Direct Support to individuals with diverse needs and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles as needed
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility as required
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems is beneficial
