Job Description
- Follow all support plans to ensure that care is person centered, which includes helping individuals reach their goals and overcome behavioral challenges.
- Support levels could include but are not limited to verbal assistance, partial and/or full physical assistance, and performing personal care tasks as needed.
- Employees may need to handle inappropriate behavior from the individuals such as verbal and/or physical aggression
- Assist the individual(s) in the community on outings such as appointments, shopping and personal outings, etc.
- Use public transportation on community outing (free of charge for support stuff) – These outings can happen any time of the year, we cannot decline to assist the individual due to weather conditions- unless it is deemed a health and safety risk.
Qualifications
- Be 18+ years or older
- 1 year of previous caregiving experience required
