Direct Support Professional (Dsp)

Our established healthcare provider is in search of a motivated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant who understands the importance of meeting the needs of clients while helping them maintain a high quality of life. We are looking for a committed individual who has impeccable communication skills and is able to problem solve on the spot. Our Caregivers have a reputation for being cheerful and receptive as they administer care to our clients, and we are seeking someone who would be a great fit with our team. Leading Health Care Direct Service Workers work in the client's place of residence. Shift times, days and activities vary with the client's needs.

Essential Job Duties:
•Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including assistance with basic personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, feeding, ambulation, and health care related tasks.
•Performing home management functions such as light housekeeping and laundry
•Meal preparation and feeding
•Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
•Reporting changes in client's condition or family situation to the office
•Documenting services provided
•Accompanying/Transporting clients into the community (Only clients with transportation requirements)
•Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
•Must be at least 18 years old.
•Ability to read and write English
•Must have a Louisiana State ID and a copy of your Social Security Card
•Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of our elderly and disabled clients.
•Must complete our Orientation process and in some cases complete our Medication Administration classes. (All training is provided by Leading Health Care)
