Position Status: Part - Time

Location: Kannapolis, NC

Education Requirements: Candidate must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Experience Requirements: Candidate must be a motivated team player, flexible, creative, dependable and reliable. Candidate must have related experience in providing Direct Supports but not preferred. Qualified applicants must be 18 years or older, have a current driver’s license, reliable transportation and are able to pass background check.

The Arc of NC is seeking a passionate, hardworking, self-motivated individual to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Kannapolis area. This is a part time position. Individual will need to be picked up at day program at 12 each weekday and taken home. Hours are 12 – 6 Monday through Friday. The family would also like someone who could work weekends as well ( this would be whatever time the family needed them) need someone that can help with personal hygiene (giving showers).

Responsibilities: A Support Associate will work directly with and support individual’s with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities with the desired outcome of assisting the individual in becoming integrated into his/her community and maintaining the least restrictive environment/lifestyle while providing support and assistance with learning or maintaining desired skills outlined in the Individual Service Plan. As a Support Associate, you will be expected to identify individual’s strengths, needs, and goals. Ensure the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document outcomes accurately and timely, in accordance to Medicaid guidelines.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week

• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• providing Direct Supports: 1 year (Preferred)
