We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare field.
Monarch Agency is a small business in Austintown, OH that is growing. We are professional, inclusive, supportive, and our goal is to provide quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities, mental, and physical disabilities. We are seeking quality DSP's for Mahoning County to help support our individuals who need assistance.
SOME Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, community integration, and other activities.
- Provide support for individuals as outline by service plans.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals by following established protocols and procedures
- Promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in community activities
- Clear and effective communication and documentation practices
- Respect and uphold the rights of clients and advocacy
Basic Requirements:
- Have a valid CPR and 1st aid certification
- Have hoyer experience and willing to utilize adaptive equipment and technology
- Ability and willingness to interact with individuals
- Read, write, and speak English fluently
- Ability and willingness to safely transfer and transport clients as needed.
- Ability to work independently in clients homes
- Willingness to work in homes that may have pets.
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability and willingness to perform background checks and drug screen
- Have reliable transportation, valid car insurances, valid drivers license, and less than 6 points on driving record
- High school diploma, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate
- Experience working as a DSP for at least 2 years, full time.
