- Sells available insurance products to new clients via various customer contact channels. Estimates and quotes policy premiums complying with underwriting guidelines and state regulations.
- Identifies clients` needs and cultivate effective sales relationships. Makes appropriate recommendations on policy coverage and options, closes sales, and process applications in an accurate manner.
- Gathers all necessary information to assess if prospective customers meet underwriting guidelines. Contacts appropriate division for underwriting guidance when needed.
- Gains and demonstrates knowledge of enterprise`s competitive advantage by comparing competitor products and services.
- Converts incoming leads into qualified customer engagements.
- May direct potential customers to website or other company resources for information.
- Educates clients on products and becomes adept at overcoming objectives of prospective clients
- Manages a prospecting pipeline to maintain accurate prospect/customer information.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Attention to detail to provide accurate quotes to clients.
- 2+ Years sales experience
- Ability to multi-task on multiple computer systems/screens during a quote.
- Ability to clearly explain insurance concepts and coverages to clients.
Licenses
- Property and casualty producer licenses for all operating and/or service states
- Education/Licenses/Designations Required to pass the state licensing exam for property and casualty producer licenses within 60 days of hire.
- Must complete required continuing education credits to maintain state property and casualty producer licenses.
- Must maintain property and casualty producer licenses for all operating states and/or service states.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 10%.
