Job description

*You must have a substantial background selling Direct Mail marketing programsand should be able to demonstrate strong employment and earnings history. This is a fully virtual / remote role where you can enjoy a flexible schedule.*

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Direct Mail Sales *4+ YEARS REQUIRED*
  • 2+ YEARS selling to the financial and insurance industries, with an emphasis on seminar marketing programs
  • Strong familiarity with print production, mailing and fulfillment operations
  • New client acquisition with proven track record of new business development
  • Experience overseeing end-to-end Direct Mail campaigns, from strategy, execution to tracking performance, including assessing response rates and conversion metrics
  • Demographic profiling
  • Experience selling and consulting on webinar and digital marketing campaigns

SKILLS:

  • Superb prospecting and business closing skills, including ability to conduct warm and cold calling.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and close deals successfully
  • Team player with a proven track record of working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to easily convey complex marketing strategies
  • Excellent customer relations & relationship management skills
  • Strong organization skills and ability to efficiently manage a stable book of business
  • Knowledge of variable data digital printing a plus

We're seeking an experienced, seasoned Direct Mail Sales specialist with a proven track record of working with financial clients in the Direct Mail marketing industry.

The person we're looking for has an ownership mindset and is driven towards developing their own personal brand in the Direct Mail Marketing industry. The right person for this role thrives on communicating persuasively, negotiating with finesse and closing deals. You're adept at navigating others' needs in order to tailor effective solutions strategically.

What you’ll be doing…

You'll take a consultant's approach in working directly with financial and insurance professionals, guiding them in their marketing & lead generation efforts to attract more qualified prospects and boost growth.

Whether through seminar marketing, one-on-one appointment setting programs, or direct lead card programs, you'll use your experience and expertise to help clients boost their response rates and ROI by developing results-driven, custom Direct Mail campaigns.

You’ll take a personalized approach to helping clients differentiate themselves in a competitive market by consulting on best practices for elevated branding and strategic marketing tactics to grow their business.

Daily contact includes helping to generate new or renew contracts, proactively strategizing and assisting existing clients to ensure continuous improvement of personalized marketing campaigns, and keeping clients informed of any new products or services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivating relationships with financial advisors, and building long-term trust through consistent outreach and offering seasoned professional marketing advice.
  • Prospecting through cold calling, proactive lead sourcing and consistent follow up.
  • Overseeing and growing a stable book of business for both Direct Mail and digital marketing campaigns, with a focus on client retention.
  • Identifying client needs and pitching customized marketing solutions to individual advisors and corporate prospects. This includes advising clients on the best print solutions to achieve their campaign goals while considering cost-effectiveness.
  • Partnering with in-house design, print and technical teams to design effective and compelling print marketing pieces, ensure seamless campaign execution and increase client retention.
  • Reviewing campaign deliverables to ensure brand standards and industry best practices are met. This includes advising on compelling messages & calls to action to elicit responses from specific targeted audiences.
  • Navigating postal requirements, including postage rates, size, and weight restrictions, to ensure compliance and optimize mailing costs.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Utilizing data analysis to ensure highly targeted, effective marketing campaigns and adjusting strategies as needed based on data insights. This includes identifying and segmenting target audiences , prioritizing, Do Not Mail lists, analyzing customer data, demographics, and behavior, measuring campaign ROI, tracking responses, conversions.
  • Measuring ROI for Direct Mail campaigns, including tracking responses, conversions, and overall campaign success.
