The Independence Network empowers young adults with disabilities in a supportive community so they can live independent lives. Each member works with staff to set goals and identify interests and needs. Supports are tailored and delivered to help people pursue their goals.
Learn more about this amazing program here!- Develop a rapport with assigned individuals and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
- Contribute to plans that support individuals to pursue their goals and dreams
- Teach independent living skills and develop strategies the individual can rely on to continue to grow in their independence
- Provide guidance and mentoring to support social skills
- Coach individual(s) to establish volunteer opportunities or paid employment
- Assist individuals to engage in community activities that match their interests
- Flexible work schedule: create your own schedule based on the needs of your case load. Working another job or currently in school? Looking to work around your personal schedule? This job could be for you!
- Collaborative environment: work to support a community of individuals to learn, experience and achieve their life’s goals
- Variety: every day in this role is different! Spend time working with members in their home and in the community

- Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities preferred
- Valid driver’s license required

The base pay for this position is $16.00 per hour. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
