Direct Care Worker

(Hiring Immediately) for Weekends 8:30am to 8:30pm

Aegis Care Services is looking for qualified individuals who are compassionate about caring for adults with developmental disabilities in the home setting.

Staff will work alongside a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over 25 years of experience in nursing who will provide training and oversight. Weekends:Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 am to 8:30 pm

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Applicants must be able to pass a level 2 background and local background check.
• Applicants must have a valid Florida Driver’s License or a FloridaIdentification Card from the DMV.
• Must be able to care for individuals with behavioral and intellectual disabilities.
• RBT, CNA, or Home Health Aid training a plus.

Position Responsibility

Responsible for the care of adults with behavioral and developmental disabilities.

Specific Duties and Tasks

• Responsible for maintaining a family home atmosphere.
• Supervising and interacting with residents in a positive manner.
• Administering medications to residents (Medication administration training and certification will be provided by Aegis).
• Preparing well-balanced meals for residents.
• Assisting residents with bathing and personal hygiene.
• Assisting residents in completing housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
• Transporting residents to and from destinations.
• Participate and assist residents in community inclusion outings.
• Act in accordance with all Aegis Care Services Inc. written policies and procedures.
• Work in accordance with the assigned schedule as an Aegis Care Services Inc. team member.

Job Type: Part-time (1099 Independent Contractor)

Salary: $15.00 per hour
