Job Summary
The Direct Care Specialist is the first line of defense for our group homes. Noels Residence values a family environment where residents are challenged and encouraged to participate in the day to day activities within the home and in the community. As a DCS staff member, you can have a lasting impact on the quality of life of our clients, as well as enjoy a fun and rewarding work environment. We are seeking a Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of individuals with special needs by enhancing their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
- Assist with mobility, and walking when neccessary
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Light housekeeping activities
- Dispense medication
- Provide companionship
- Assist with daily chores and taska
- Encourage residents to participate in daily tsdks and activities
- Complete daily documentation such as ( shift end reports/ checklists, and incident reports)
- Drive and accompany residents on outings
Qualifications
- First aid and CPR-certified
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
- Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma
- Valid drivers license
- Compassionate, respectful, ethical
