DirPharmacy Operations - Mason, OH (PS37634)

Summary:Responsible for managing the pharmacy operations for clinical programimplementations ensuring that communications are responsive to health planneeds and meets all clinical quality standards.

Primaryduties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Directs activities related to development of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial pharmacy programs.
  • Directs regional clinical program implementations and tracks turn-around, quality stats and interventions.
  • Becoming a key member of the Pharmacy Operations Leadership team responsible for partnering with other leaders and peers to set strategy, direction, and execution of the Pharmacy plan.
  • Managing clinical reviews within an active pharmacy business unit, where you will be responsible for planning, funding, scheduling, execution, and delivery of work performed by the team. As part of this, you will manage staffing levels, scheduling, and productivity levels of the team.
  • Directing Pharmacy Operations resources and overseeing accuracy and timeliness of deliverables to ensure contractual, compliance and cost of care requirements as well as Service Level Agreements are met.
  • Implements and manages policies, practices and procedures which lead to execution of all business requirements related to Clinical Pharmacy Care Center Programs
  • You will provide leadership to teams responsible for coordinating delivery of all new, renewing, and migrating pharmacy business. To accomplish this, you will hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate your associates to help them achieve their goals.
  • Establishes guidelines and facilitates policy creation and adherence. Develops and defines procedures and systems to support clinical pharmacy program implementations.
  • Facilitates process enhancements to improve the overall effectiveness of clinical pharmacy programs.
  • Oversees budget planning and forecasting. Monitors and evaluates program implementations.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.


Qualifications

  • Requires a PharmD, RPh or other advanced degree in a health related field; minimum 5 years of experience in managed care; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Minimum 4 years of managerial experience strongly preferred.
  • Must possess an active unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh).
  • Unless expressly allowed by state or federal law, or regulation, must be located in a state or territory of the United States when conducting pharmacy review or an appeals consideration and cannot be located on a US military base, vessel or any embassy located in or outside of the United States, unless they are command-sanctioned activities.
  • Requires strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
