Reporting to the Product Line Director for Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions - Market Expansion, you will have the opportunity to exercise your strategic muscles to achieve our vision and, in turn, we will help you advance your career. As a Portfolio Director you will be leading a team delivering critical seeker solutions to unlock the next generation of warfighter capabilities. You will be your team's resource advocate and lead them to influential customer engagements and business outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will include: managing a team of Capture Manager(s) and Program Manager(s), fiscal responsibility of key business metrics to meet or exceed annual objectives, and (as needed) perform the role of Capture Team Lead on 1-2 captures.
As the Portfolio Director, you must be able to evaluate and articulate risks, drive your cross-functional partners to proactively mitigate program and contractual challenges, attract, retain and develop talent, and successfully influence senior leaders to make sound investments in support of the portfolio growth strategy. You will be a trusted partner for our customer and collaborate with engineering to accelerate IRAD progress to deliver reliable products on time to support strategic pursuits.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related discipline.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience leading technical and program teams through all phases of the lifecycle. *3-4 years of which are successfully executing captures and proposals, ideally within weapons and/or hardware solutions.
  • Proven record of successfully leading large, complex development and production programs.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop a clear vision and inspire your team to execute with excellence.
  • Experience with leading leaders though coaching, mentoring and overall team development skills with the ability to achieve results through others.
  • Exceptional at cultivating strategic customer relationships.
  • Adept at collaboration - particularly within a highly matrixed team and leveraging diverse perspectives to develop solutions that support the success of those around you.
  • Well-versed in sorting through various inputs and complex datasets to make sound business decisions that address conflicting priorities and demands.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership and customers.
  • Proficient with risk and opportunity management, defense contract types, and earned value management techniques.
  • Knowledge of Government contracting current acquisition trends and customer / competitor behaviors.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to travel 25% on average to support multiple business efforts such as captures, customer events, conferences etc.
