  • Using Phase One iX Series camera systems, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for imaging heritage materials and utilizing target validation tools to ensure archival and preservation-grade digital images.
  • The successful candidate will perform post-capture editing adjustments and processing and review image files using Capture One software and other applications.
  • The Digitization Specialist will be skilled in organizing files on MacOS computers, updating progress tracking and production reports daily, and monthly summary reports.
  • Continually gaining knowledge to master advanced Capture One concepts, scripting, and capture technologies and to troubleshoot Phase One and Digital Transitions hardware.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Communicate with PA/DT’s Project Managers about imaging requests, send results for feedback and approval, make adjustments as needed, and upload final results to the server
  • Track throughput and align with production expectations throughout the project
  • Other Duties as assigned

Supervision

The Digitization Specialist will directly report to the Project Manager and Digitization Services Manager and work independently and collaboratively. Imaging instructions and digitization standards will be provided at the beginning of the project, and oversight will be conducted throughout the duration.
